Participate in the Sales for Trails Program : For businesses wanting to go above and beyond a business membership, COPMOBA offers the Sales for Trails Program, This program allows businesses to donate 1% of gross proceeds to COPMOBA in support of the organization’s activities to advocate for, build, and maintain singletrack mountain bike trails in Western Colorado.
ADVOCATE : for singletrack mountain bike trails in your area. This can involve commenting in support of mountain bike trails on land management plans put forth by local agencies such as the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and United States Forest Service (USFS), attending chapter meetings with local land management agency representatives where you can voice your support as a mountain bike trail user, and by submitting comments on COPMOBA grant proposals when needed. Join our email list so you know when advocacy efforts are needed in your area!
BUILD : All chapters organize regular singletrack trail building events. Commit to volunteering for at least one per year. It’s a great way to be a part of the COPMOBA mountain bike community and there is a tremendous sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when you ride a singletrack trail you helped build! Businesses are encouraged to sponsor a local trail building event in their area and should contact the local chapter for details.
MAINTAIN : Once you have advocated for and built a singletrack mountain bike trail, it requires regular maintenance. Our chapters organize regular trail maintenance events—commit to volunteering for at least one per year. If you ride regularly and have maintenance recommendations, be sure to let your local chapter know. Businesses can also sponsor trail maintenance days by contacting the local chapter.
