The Board of COPMOBA is excited to introduce COPMOBA’s new visual identity and tagline. Our new logo reflects our updated mission, vision, and values statements after nearly 12-months of planning efforts. The “RIDER BUILT TRAILS” tagline encompasses these core tenets, is a hat tip to our prior tagline “build, maintain, and advocate,” and also helps us remain closely connected to our rich history of 34+ years of trail building and community development across Western Colorado.

Plunge into Phase One of the Palisade Plunge

Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association and partners are excited to announce the opening of Phase I of the Palisade Plunge for public access on Saturday, May 29, 2021. Once both Phase I and II are complete, the Palisade Plunge will connect the top of the Grand Mesa (10,700') to the Town of Palisade, CO.

Seasonal Closures in the Grand Valley

Every December 1st, a small set of trails in the Grand Valley are closed for seasonal wildlife closures. Seasonal Closures are from December 1 - May 1. These closures occur to protect essential landscapes for wildlife and are part of agreements negotiated with Colorado Parks and Wildlife and land managers to have the opportunity to build trails in beautiful landscapes.

Recreate Locally and Responsibly

The Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association (COPMOBA) understands and is committed to the many positive impacts of outdoor recreation and the outdoor recreation economy, and a critical part of that impact is the responsible participation in outdoor recreation at all times. In accordance with Governor Polis’ stay-at-home order, which is in effect from March 26-April 11, we must take action on a local basis to follow these requirements and recreate responsibly and locally.
