RIDER & COURSE INFORMATION
RAD by the Rivers is an 80’s themed, family-friendly mountain bike race on singletrack trails along the Uncompahgre and Gunnison Rivers at Confluence Park in Delta. Race day is April 4th, 2026 with races beginning at 9:00 AM. Race staging is near the Confluence Bike Park. Riders of all ages and abilities can get rad on optional features and jump lines built right into the race course, and the course is open to experienced adaptive mountain bike riders as well.
No bike? No worries! Nature Connection will be on-site with bikes available for racing—from striders to adult-sized bikes—with a suggested donation of $5 for riders 13 and under and $10 for adults.
As part of the fun, we’ll be hosting an adaptive mountain bike demo, and have adaptive bikes available for anyone interested in experiencing what it’s like to ride an adaptive mountain bike.
RACE CATEGORIES
The race categories for Open, Casual, Adaptive, and Under 13 offer at least 1 lap on the long course with one lap being between 3 to 4 miles. If a child under 13 wants to ride multiple laps on the long course, they should sign up for the Open or Casual categories.
The Lil Rippers short course will be approximately 0.25 miles. Striders and pedal bikes are welcome on the short course and parents are encouraged to help their little shredders as the course will have optional wooden features and dirt rollers. This category is for kids who cannot complete 1 lap on the long course. Kids can lap the short course until the other categories start at approximately 10:00 AM.
