Group Ride with Shelter Distilling! Come ride with the MUT committee.
We know all of our MUT members work hard on our trails, so let's have some fun too! We'll be rolling out from Shelter Distilling at 5:30 PM (sharp!) to ride Electric Hills. Afterwards we will return to Shelter Distilling for discounted drinks on their awesome patio.

We'll be self shuttling, so if you have a rack or a truck or both, it would be helpful if you're willing to drive!
We will be working on cleaning up and trimming the Cerro Summit trails.
Bring loppers if you have them, work gloves (bike gloves also work), closed-toe shoes or boots, and water. Long pants, a sun shirt, and a hat are recommended. MUT will have some loppers and other tools if you do not have a set. Thanks for supporting YOUR local trails and MUT + COPMOBA!

We will be working on cleaning up and trimming the Cerro Summit trails.

Volunteers ages 14+ will help build the final segment of the North Fruita Desert Trail. VOC first assisted in the trail’s construction in 2022, and now we’re returning to complete the last 3-mile segment! Designed primarily for mountain bikers, the trail will also be open to hikers and horseback riders.
Mark your calendars for the first ever race at Electric Hills on May 17th!
With distances of 13ish and 19ish miles, this race is perfect for the whole family. Stay tuned for course maps, classes and registration info coming soon! We will also be looking for volunteers if you aren't interested in racing but would still like to be involved. The Electric Hills Race is hosted by MUT (Montrose Uncompahgre Trails), a chapter of Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association (COPMOBA), a 501c3 nonprofit organization that advocates for mountain biking in western Colorado by building and maintaining sustainable singletrack.
