RAT x Dirt Mermaids Trail Construction Weekend - 2025!

RAT is teaming up with Dirt Mermaids to plan a women’s weekend of trail building and group riding on October 3-5. No prior trail building experience is necessary.

Schedule: Below is an outline of the events we have planned. These events and times are subject to change.

Friday, October 3

  • Check in at The Eddy group site at Ridgway State Park: Anytime after 4 PM. You must have a valid State Park pass or purchase a day pass

  • Group happy hour in the evening!- Beverages provided by RAT

Saturday, October 4

  • Trail construction: 11 AM to 2 PM

    • Meet us at 4 Corners at 11 AM. You can ride or hike there. 4 Corners is the connection point between Big Cheese and Rattus Maximus. (See map below)

  • Group Rides: around 2-5 PM - Bring your bike to trail work and we’ll go after trail work!

  • Group BBQ Dinner: 6:30-7 PM (approx.). Food provided!

Sunday, October 5

  • Morning yoga session 9-9:30 AM

  • Group breakfast: 10 AM - Food provided by Dirt Mermaids!

  • Group ride: 12 PM

Please note these sessions will be only for those who identify as female.

Camping:

  • We are offering camping Friday and Saturday nights. We have reserved The Eddy group campsite at Pa-Co-Chu-Puk in the Ridgway State Park.

  • Check in anytime after 4 PM on Friday, October 3. Check out is 12 PM On Sunday, October 5.

  • You must have a valid State Park pass or purchase a day pass.

  • Your families and partners are welcome to camp with you.

What to Bring:

  • Please wear sturdy hiking shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Bring work gloves, a water bottle, snacks, and a backpack for your belongings.

  • Some group meals and drinks will be provided. Please plan on bringing your own food and beverages for the rest.
